Welcome to the Nicasio Community WebsiteOurs is a unique community, consisting of only a few hundred families, a high ranking K – 8 school district and a rural landscape that seems to ignore that fact that San Francisco is less than one hour away. Within the community are a series of organizations whose activities help weave the fabric of this rural community. These organizations include:
- The Nicasio Land Owners Association and its subsidiary,
- The Nicasio Land Preserve.
- The Nicasio Disaster Council.
- The Nicasio Volunteer Fire Department and the Ladies Auxilliary.
- The Nicasio Historical Society.
Together, these organizations, collectively channeling the efforts of a large portion of the community, do a tremendous amount to make Nicasio a wonderful place to live, raise kids and enjoy the out-of-doors.
Each of the organization are accessible through these pages, and together they sponsor the information presented here for the benefit of current residents, and people considering moving to our community.
