Published in response to proposals to develop the Nicasio Valley for a large number of homes and associated faciliites, the county commissioned a study of the valley, and its ability to host such a project. The result, a book titled "Nicasio, Hidden Valley in Transition" was published by the county and covered many details of the area, including its geology, flora, fauna, history, topography and included a series of maps. With the permission of the County of Marin, we have digitized many parts of that book as a unique resource for Nicasio residents and make it available here.
