Because Nicasio is a picturesque community, it has been featured in movies, print and broadcast commercials and TV shows.  Due to the demands associated with filming, the Nicasio Land Owners Association, who is the owner of the town square, have developed a set of guidelines to govern filming in the area.

The key issue is that the square is part of a living community where people shop, recreate, worship, eat out and it is the location of our fire department.  Therefore,  keeping the sqare open to the community is important, as is funding the the costs of maintaining the square to insure it remains an attractive location.  To manage the requests of film crews and help meet the costs of maintaining the square for all, the community has developed the guidelines and an agreement by which to authorize parties interested in making use of the square.

For anyone interested in using the Nicasio Town Square, and surrounding area as a visual location for print, broadcast or other projects, please review the attached guidelines and film agreement.

We look forward to working with your project to insure that the needs of the project and the community are met.
